Tala is looking for a Chief Product Officer
Tala is dedicated to unlocking the economic potential of the Global Majority, serving over nine million customers across Kenya, the Philippines, Mexico, and India. We are a recognized leader in fintech, having been featured on the Fortune Impact 20 list and CNBC’s Disruptor 50, and we are currently seeking a Chief Product Officer to help us scale our impact and expand our financial services globally.
Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive, innovative three-year vision for our product suite to drive growth and establish a unique competitive advantage.
- Lead and empower a global team, fostering a healthy and impact-oriented culture that unlocks individual and collective talent.
- Execute our strategy by driving a high-velocity test and learn culture that turns ambitious goals into reality.
- Connect product roadmaps directly to our financial objectives, ensuring clear business results through strategic decision-making.
- Champion the customer experience by ensuring our product development remains deeply rooted in the needs and nuances of the communities we serve.
- Serve as a leadership role model by promoting transparency, clear communication, and a strong bias for action across the organization.
Must-haves
- At least 15 years of experience in product management, overseeing the full lifecycle of software products from inception to iteration.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience building, mentoring, and leading world-class global product management teams.
- Proven track record of guiding teams through various phases of growth, including both hypergrowth and scale-up environments.
- Extensive experience launching and scaling consumer-facing products with a focus on design and innovation.
- Demonstrated ability to make high-stakes decisions and lead teams effectively amidst ambiguity and complexity.
- Strong literacy in lending and financial services.
- Fluency in English.
