Chief Product Officer at Obol Labs

Dv labs is a remote-first research and software development organization dedicated to advancing Proof of Stake infrastructure for public blockchain networks. Our team of over 30 members, distributed across more than 15 countries, is currently building the Obol Network. This protocol fosters trust-minimized staking through Distributed Validator Technology, which allows for more resilient and decentralized scaling of the Ethereum consensus layer. We are committed to developing open, community-governed public goods, including the DV Launchpad, the Charon middleware client, and Obol Splits, to ensure the long-term viability of public networks.

Key outcomes

• Define and execute the overarching product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Obol Network in collaboration with our executive team.
• Lead and scale our product and design organization, fostering a high-performance culture while overseeing our entire software product suite.
• Serve as a primary partner to the CTO to clearly define our product objectives and the rationale behind our development efforts.
• Direct the design of node operator tooling and developer experiences, including support for Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Docker environments.
• Refine our Solidity-based products to ensure seamless integration of distributed validators into existing Ethereum protocols.
• Create intuitive onboarding flows for our UI and programmatic tools, such as the Obol SDK and API.
• Manage the evolution of distributed validator clusters and ensure that product changes are consistently implemented across our entire suite.
• Analyze product performance metrics to iteratively improve our offerings and address user challenges.
• Represent our distributed validator vision to external clients and stakeholders while managing complex integration processes.
• Contribute to executive operations by monitoring competitive developments and ensuring the product team is properly resourced and aligned with company goals.
• Participate actively in recruiting efforts to attract top-tier talent to the product team.

Requirements

We are seeking an executive-level leader with a strong technical foundation. You must possess the following qualifications:

• Deep technical expertise, specifically in Solidity smart contract design.
• Comprehensive knowledge of protocol design, REST API and SDK development, and front-end DApp development.
• Strong understanding of the Ethereum ecosystem, including validator tech stacks, client software, and Layer 2 solutions.
• Experience with DevOps and managing production-grade infrastructure.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Availability within the GMT-5 to GMT+3 time zone range is preferred.
