About the Role
We are searching for a Chief Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this executive-level position, you will lead the design and construction of groundbreaking motion control and actuation systems for the most demanding aerospace applications. This role offers a hybrid work environment, allowing you to balance collaborative office time with independent work.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical authority for all mechanical and systems engineering programs within our Motion Control division.
- Mentor engineering staff and provide leadership to align design, analysis, and systems engineering workflows from initial development through final delivery.
- Oversee technical risk assessments across our project portfolio and establish rigorous design review criteria to ensure excellence in every mission.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
- At least 15 years of experience in the aerospace sector, specifically involving new product development and ongoing support.
- Proven leadership experience within aerospace development, with a focus on mechanical space systems or lunar technologies.
- A track record of designing and deploying multiple complex flight systems.
- Deep subject matter expertise in areas such as mechanism design, gearing and bearing analysis, electromechanical systems, servo systems, and electro-optical gimbals.

This position is based in the United States, with team operations centered in Longmont, Colorado.
