Role at a glance

We are seeking an experienced Chief Information Security Officer to join our team in a full-time, executive capacity. This is a remote role, and we welcome applicants from anywhere in the United States. You will report directly to our Chief Scientific Officer and play a pivotal role in shaping our global security strategy.

Your impact

• Define and execute our global information security roadmap, strategy, and tactics while ensuring our security perimeter is robust through constant monitoring, auditing, and remediation.
• Collaborate closely with our engineering and product teams to integrate security as a first-class requirement during every phase of the development lifecycle.
• Lead company-wide security initiatives, manage incident responses, and partner with commercial teams to support our ongoing customer acquisition and retention efforts.

What you'll need

To be successful in this role, you should have approximately 10 years of experience building and leading security teams with a focus on identity management, software security, GRC, and security operations. We are looking for a US citizen who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

• Proven experience leading complex audits and certifications, such as SOC 2, HITRUST, CMMC, or FedRAMP.
• Deep familiarity with IT risk management frameworks like ISO 27001, COBIT, and NIST CSF.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex security concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships effectively.
• Expertise in healthcare financial management, including IT budgeting and operations.
