Threat Tec, LLC is a rapidly growing, veteran-owned organization that stands at the forefront of Operational Environment replication and threat emulation wargaming solutions. As we continue to support our nation's defenders, we are looking for an experienced Chief Information Security Officer to join our team on a full-time basis at our headquarters in Hampton, Virginia. In this executive role, you will be the primary architect of our cybersecurity strategy, ensuring that our information assets remain secure, resilient, and protected against evolving threats.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive cybersecurity policies and strategies that align with our organizational goals to protect critical information assets.
- Direct our core security programs, which include managing risks, overseeing vulnerability assessments, leading incident response efforts, and ensuring full regulatory compliance.
- Implement and maintain advanced security controls to defend our infrastructure against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other sophisticated cyber threats.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in information security and a commitment to operational excellence. We require the following qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, with a master's degree being highly preferred.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- An active Secret Clearance or higher is mandatory for this position.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
- Deep technical knowledge of cloud security, network security, encryption, and identity and access management.
- Familiarity with CMMC requirements and experience securing hybrid active directory environments.
- A proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
