Key outcomes
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive information security governance framework that protects both internal systems and customer-facing platforms.
- Direct security operations, including continuous monitoring, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and rapid incident response across the enterprise.
- Lead the successful implementation of CMMC NIST 800-171 controls by fiscal year 2025 while advising legal and compliance teams on NIST 800-53 and DFARS requirements.
- Develop and execute an enterprise technology strategy that aligns IT investments with Capella’s mission and growth objectives.
- Oversee daily IT operations to ensure systems remain secure, reliable, and scalable, including business applications for finance, accounting, and manufacturing.
- Expand the business intelligence platform to deliver actionable KPIs and predictive analytics that support executive decision-making.
- Build and mentor a high-performing IT team, manage the department budget, and maintain productive relationships with technology vendors.
- Ensure business continuity through disciplined backup procedures, timely system updates, and staff training that minimizes technology-related risk.
Requirements
- Twelve or more years of senior leadership experience in commercial or defense-classified environments, ideally within the defense, aerospace, or technology security sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with an industry certification such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC.
- Practical knowledge of manufacturing and operations systems, including bill-of-materials structures and manufacturing execution systems, to support scalable production.
- Deep technical expertise in cybersecurity frameworks such as Zero Trust and cloud security, as well as DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, SIEM, SOAR, EDR, firewalls, IAM, and DLP technologies.
- Proven ability to translate security priorities into business outcomes, facilitate enterprise-wide strategic planning, and implement scaled agile methodologies.
- Strong communication skills and the capacity to represent Capella with customers and government stakeholders.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency as required to comply with ITAR and related export-control regulations.
Preferred qualifications
- Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Compensation
The annual base salary range for this position is $220,000 to $291,500.
