We are looking for a visionary Chief Information Officer to join our organization and lead our Information Technology and Digital Services Cluster. About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site executive position based in Canada. As our CIO, you will provide high-level direction for all aspects of our information technology systems. You will be responsible for developing and executing digital strategies that support our long-term objectives, managing critical vendor relationships, and ensuring that our technological framework complies with all relevant provincial and federal regulations. You will work closely with our executive team to assess risks, identify opportunities for innovation, and foster a culture of accountability within our IT department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of an integrated, secure technological infrastructure that supports our legislative requirements and organizational mission.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of robust cybersecurity measures, including incident response plans and protocols to safeguard confidential data.
- Manage the ITDS budget and resource allocation, ensuring that our investments in technology and vendor services are cost-effective and high-performing.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior IT leadership capacity, particularly within fast-paced environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of systems architecture, data management, and information technology.
- Practical experience working with Microsoft Azure and various cloud technologies.
- Strong project management, budgeting, and communication skills.
- A solid understanding of provincial and federal laws regarding data security and privacy.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or PMP are considered a significant asset.
Location
This role is located in Canada and requires an on-site presence.
