What you bring

As our Chief Engineering Officer, you will serve as a pivotal member of our management team, reporting directly to the CEO. This full-time executive role is based in the United Kingdom and requires a leader capable of driving our technical strategy while building a world-class engineering organization. You will be responsible for the following:

• Leading the recruitment, inspiration, and retention of elite technical talent to foster a high-performance culture.
• Managing the end-to-end delivery of complex, world-changing products while navigating significant technical barriers.
• Providing strategic thought leadership to ensure our engineering output aligns with our ambitious goals in Artificial Intelligence and machine learning.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who thrives in the face of ambiguity and is comfortable managing substantial technical risk. You should possess a proven track record of building and leading engineering teams within fast-growing, deeply technical startup environments. It is essential that you have a deep understanding of modern machine learning techniques and current Artificial Intelligence trends. We value a think big mentality and the ability to contribute to our broader company success as a key executive. While not mandatory, experience with our specific technology stack-including Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, React, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, and AWS-is highly desirable, as is a strong academic background from a top-tier university.
