Our hospitality division manages a diverse portfolio of more than 20 business-class hotels, including notable properties like The Hay-Adams and The Watermark Hotel, alongside brands from Marriott, Hilton, and Intercontinental. With a dedicated team of over 1,000 professionals, we are currently looking for a talented Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance operations at our Courtyard by Marriott Tysons McLean location. What you'll be doing
- You will oversee all engineering functions for our 229-room hotel, ensuring that preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and asset protection strategies are executed to maintain high standards and long-term financial success.
- You will manage the engineering department by monitoring labor expenses, providing hands-on training to your team, and fostering a collaborative environment that supports all hotel departments in delivering exceptional guest service.
- You will identify maintenance concerns and implement efficient repair solutions, while actively managing budgets and procurement to control expenses and minimize waste across the property.
What you'll bring
- You possess 3 to 5 years of maintenance experience, ideally within the hotel industry, and you hold a high school diploma or GED.
- You have strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
- You are comfortable communicating in English and have the physical capability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds consistently.
- While not strictly required, we value candidates who hold or have the ability to obtain certifications such as CPO, HVAC, boiler, or Serve Safe, and those who possess a college degree or equivalent professional experience.
