The opportunity

We are seeking a Chief Engineer - Aircraft to take ownership of our entire aircraft development process. Reporting directly to our CTO, you will be the technical architect of our vehicle systems, responsible for building a world-class team and establishing the robust design and testing processes needed to bring our aircraft to life. This is a high-impact executive role where you will bridge the gap between initial development and final production, ensuring we deliver a reliable, innovative system that meets our ambitious program goals.

A day in the life

• You will strategically build and scale our autonomous aircraft development team from the ground up while fostering a culture of creativity and high productivity.
• You will own the technical roadmap for the aircraft, leading the design, build, and testing phases to ensure we meet critical milestones on time and within budget.
• You will act as the technical face of our product, working closely with program management and senior leadership to align our engineering efforts with our broader company goals.

Who you are

You are a seasoned aerospace leader with over 10 years of technical and management experience. You possess a deep understanding of complex hardware and software systems, and you have a proven track record of leading aircraft design teams through the certification process. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, venture-backed startup environment where priorities shift rapidly. You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and you are eligible to work in the United States. Proficiency in English is essential for this role, and you bring a proactive, optimistic attitude to every challenge you face.
