Last Energy is looking for a Chemistry & Materials Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Chemistry & Materials Engineer to join Last Energy. We are building innovative energy solutions, and you will play a vital role in our success by overseeing material selection and water chemistry programs for our engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee water chemistry programs to maintain the performance and long-term durability of our systems, including heat exchangers and pipelines.
- Choose the best materials and alloys for our specific technologies while evaluating their suitability for various operating conditions.
- Analyze how materials interact with our water chemistry and operating environments, specifically focusing on managing corrosion, erosion, and chemical reactions.
- Partner with our multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure that material choices and processes are successfully integrated into our new technology development.
Must-haves
- A Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- At least 8 years of professional experience managing water chemistry and selecting materials within industrial environments.
- A strong grasp of the regulations and industry standards governing material selection and water chemistry.
- The ability to thrive and remain effective in a fast-paced, evolving engineering environment.
- Excellent collaborative skills and the ability to work well within diverse teams.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred for this senior-level position.
