The opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Certified FAA Parachute Rigger to join us as a senior-level contractor in Playa Vista, California. In this hands-on role, you will be a vital part of our mission to ensure the reliable deployment of our atmospheric recovery systems. You will work directly with our engineering team to manage the assembly, packing, and testing of parachute and paraglider systems, ensuring that every component meets our rigorous standards for safety and performance.

A day in the life

• You will pack, rig, and maintain our parachute and paraglider systems by strictly following engineering designs and technical documentation.
• You will perform thorough quality control inspections and maintain precise records for all soft goods and rigging materials to ensure full traceability.
• You will support our field testing operations, which includes traveling to locations like Mojave to assist with on-site rigging, deployment setups, and detailed post-test inspections.

Who you are

You are a professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where quality is the top priority. You possess an FAA Senior or Master Parachute Rigger certification, or you bring equivalent hands-on experience from military, aerospace, or skydiving operations. You are comfortable working with engineering drawings and technical procedures, and you have a sharp eye for detail that ensures every task is completed with high precision. Because our work involves both shop and field environments, you are ready to travel as needed and adapt to the evolving needs of an early-stage startup. Please note that you must be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident to be eligible for this position.
