Since our founding in 2012, EasyPost has grown into a YC unicorn with a clear mission, which is to simplify shipping for everyone from small garage startups to massive Fortune 500 companies. While shipping serves as the backbone of the global economy, the industry has historically been complex and low-tech. We bridge that gap by providing the first developer-friendly REST API for shipping. As we continue to scale and push the boundaries of what is possible in logistics, we are looking for talented people to help us build the future of shipping infrastructure.
About the Role
We are searching for a Senior Carrier Product Manager to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will be the primary advocate for developers across all our customer segments. You will focus on ensuring our shipping APIs are intuitive, easy to debug, and well-supported, while also working to increase developer productivity within our carrier engineering organization. By analyzing feedback and conducting developer interviews, you will drive a roadmap that scales our carrier platform and delights our users. You will collaborate closely with engineering, support, and business development teams to make a significant impact on our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of clear, actionable product requirements and specifications to guide our engineering and program management teams.
- Manage the full lifecycle of projects from initial concept through launch, including coordinating go-to-market strategies for training, pricing, billing, and legal requirements.
- Build and execute a shared vision for internal and external developer experiences, ensuring our tools remain best-in-class.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should bring a strong technical background and a passion for developer-focused products. Our requirements include:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a background in software engineering.
- At least 5 years of related experience, or 3 years with a Master’s degree.
- Direct experience with US regional carriers is required, with knowledge of foreign postal services being a plus.
- At least 3 years of experience working as a software developer or in a role where developers were your primary customers.
- Proven experience working with APIs, SDKs, and developer-centric tools.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A self-starting attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.
Location
This is a remote position, and we are happy to accept applications from candidates based anywhere in the United States.
Compensation and Benefits
We believe in supporting our team members both personally and professionally. Our benefits package includes:
- Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
- Equity compensation and a 401(k) match.
- Flexible work hours and paid time off.
- A monthly work-from-home stipend.
- The opportunity to contribute to a hyper-growth company that processes millions of packages every day.
