We are heycar, and since 2019, we have been transforming the way people buy and sell vehicles. Backed by global investment from Volkswagen and Renault, we connect trusted UK dealerships with customers, offering a seamless and remote car-buying experience. We are currently looking for a Senior Car Reviews Editor to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. If you are a car expert with a passion for storytelling and industry influence, we would love to have you on board to help shape the voice of heycar, HonestJohn.co.uk, and BuyaCar.co.uk.

Responsibilities

Lead our content strategy by producing high-quality, consumer-focused reviews for cars and vans, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the latest vehicle launches.
Serve as a dynamic brand representative by attending industry events across the UK and Europe, building strong relationships with manufacturers, and creating engaging video content for our social media channels.
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of editorial projects, from initial planning and CMS implementation to SEO optimization and performance tracking.

Requirements

At least five years of professional online writing experience, with a proven ability to produce accurate, clear, and engaging copy under deadlines.
Deep knowledge of the automotive industry, including established relationships with major UK manufacturer press offices and a strong grasp of current vehicle models.
Technical proficiency in content management systems and a solid understanding of SEO best practices, including keyword strategy and internal linking.
A proactive, hands-on approach to project management with the ability to balance multiple tasks while mentoring junior team members.
Excellent communication skills, specifically the ability to explain complex automotive topics in a straightforward, accessible manner.
