What is this role?
We are looking for a highly experienced Camera Systems Architect to join our team in a full-time, executive-level capacity. This is a hybrid position based in the United States, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our security camera ecosystem. You will be responsible for leading the architecture and development of our next generation of camera products, ensuring they meet our high standards for performance and reliability.
What will you do?
- Lead the end-to-end architecture and design process for our camera and accessory systems, from initial concept through to mass production.
- Analyze complex tradeoffs between design alternatives, focusing on performance, cost, schedule, and technical risk.
- Collaborate across departments with teams like electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, AI/ML, and product management to ensure our imaging solutions deliver an outstanding user experience.
What makes you a great fit?
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in engineering and product development within the consumer products space. We are looking for someone with deep expertise in imaging systems, including image sensors, ISPs, and optics. You should be fluent in English and possess the following qualities:
- Extensive experience leading complex system designs from concept to market.
- A deep understanding of ISP data flows and image quality evaluation metrics.
- Proven ability to work with global suppliers and manufacturing partners to optimize designs for production.
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- A customer-obsessed mindset with the ability to translate user needs into technical requirements.
