CAD/CAM Software Developer at LightForce Orthodontics

We are LightForce Orthodontics, a company dedicated to transforming the orthodontic field through advanced 3D printing technology. Since launching the world’s first fully customized 3D-printed bracket system and digital treatment software in 2019, we have become one of the fastest-growing organizations in the industry. We are currently looking for a Senior CAD/CAM Software Developer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. In this role, you will lead the development of our 3D tools, ensuring our platform remains performant and intuitive for both internal and external users as we continue to scale.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the design, architecture, and implementation of our web-based digital treatment platform from start to finish.
• Collaborate across multiple departments to gather requirements and support the successful implementation of new features.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers to help foster the growth of our technical team.

Requirements

• A Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including 2 years specifically focused on CAD, CAM, FEA, or CFD applications.
• Deep expertise in WebGL and the 3D web ecosystem, including Three.js.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and TypeScript for developing graphical applications.
• Experience solving 3D computational geometry problems and working with geometric modeling concepts.
• A background in optimizing graphs and graph algorithms.
• Proven ability to work effectively within an Agile or Scrum environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
