We believe that a thriving space economy is essential for a more sustainable and equitable future on Earth. By improving global access to information and developing solutions for climate change and clean energy, we are working to transform how humanity interacts with the cosmos. Currently, rocket launch options are often slow and unreliable, which is why we are building the world's most efficient, fully and rapidly reusable rocket. Our goal is to make daily flight a reality, radically increasing access to space and safeguarding our planet.
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior CAD Architect to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be the primary owner of our CAD and PLM infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the systems that allow our engineers to design and produce rockets with maximum efficiency. This is a hands-on position that requires you to stay focused, move quickly, and continuously improve the tools our team relies on every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and refine our existing NX infrastructure, including configuration files, material databases, and the reuse library, to ensure they align with our rocket development workflow.
- Customize and maintain the Teamcenter interface using BMIDE to streamline design and production processes for our engineering team.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive library of common parts, personally performing the modeling work to ensure the tools you architect remain intuitive and effective for all users.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a deep technical background and a passion for building robust engineering environments. We require the following qualifications:
- Extensive experience with NX infrastructure, including modeling practices and configuration management.
- Proven ability to customize the Teamcenter interface to enhance team workflows.
- Strong proficiency with BMIDE for custom Teamcenter implementations.
- High level of skill in both solid and surface modeling within NX.
- A proactive mindset toward learning, testing, and implementing new methods to improve our technical infrastructure.
Please note that this position requires compliance with U.S. export control laws, meaning you must be a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident, or otherwise eligible to access restricted technical data.
Location
This position is based in the United States and requires on-site attendance.
Compensation and Benefits
The target salary range for this role is $127,000 to $191,000. We determine the final base salary and level based on your specific experience and skill set. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Life insurance coverage.
- 401k retirement plan with company match.
- Paid time off.
- Flexible working hours.
- Equity compensation to ensure you share in our long-term success.
