Business Systems Analyst at Hey Rowan

Rowan is a growing company dedicated to providing high-quality products, and we are currently looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between our IT department and broader business operations. Reporting to the Senior Director of IT, you will use your analytical skills to assess our current processes, define requirements, and provide data-driven insights that help our leadership team make informed decisions. You will also play a key part in expanding our business intelligence capabilities and ensuring our systems are optimized for success.

Key outcomes

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into clear technical specifications.
• Evaluate existing business processes to uncover opportunities for increased efficiency and productivity.
• Oversee project timelines, scope, and deliverables while coordinating with various internal and external teams.
• Design and maintain dashboards and reports to support daily business operations.
• Perform data analysis to interpret complex information and offer actionable recommendations.
• Create and execute test plans to verify that system updates function correctly and meet our standards.
• Act as a primary point of contact between technology teams and business units, providing training and documentation to end-users.

Requirements

• Between 1 and 4 years of professional experience in business systems analysis or a related discipline, ideally within the retail industry.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, including SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and Domo.
• Proven ability to create and present reporting materials for executive leadership.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• A proactive problem-solving mindset with a sharp eye for detail.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a hybrid work environment.
• Familiarity with standard project management methodologies.

Preferred qualifications

• Direct experience working with NetSuite, Shopify, and Google Analytics.
