CoVar is a specialized research and development software firm based in Durham, North Carolina. We focus on developing advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions to address critical real-world challenges. Our team is dedicated to creating tools that assist the Department of Defense in threat detection, support biomedical researchers in discovering life-saving cures, and monitor industrial machinery to prevent accidents and environmental damage. We are currently looking for a Business Operations Analyst to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity.
Key outcomes
- Manage the lifecycle of contract documentation, including awards, modifications, and all related paperwork.
- Coordinate, review, and prepare administrative proposal elements to ensure they are accurate and complete.
- Document administrative requirements for all proposal submissions.
- Provide support for financial reporting and the completion of financial data for proposals.
- Oversee subcontract compliance, including the onboarding, offboarding, and final closeout of subcontractors.
- Maintain organized records, spreadsheets, and documentation for all active contracts.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- Between 2 and 4 years of professional experience in business administration, contract management, or legal support.
- Strong proficiency with the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience working with PDF documentation.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable conclusions.
- The ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain a US security clearance.
- The ability to work on-site in Durham, North Carolina.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience working with Department of Defense contracts and understanding federal acquisition regulations.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements related to the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement.
- A history of success in financial reporting and process improvement initiatives.
