We are looking for a Business Insights Manager based in South Africa to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. You will lead a talented group of analysts and engineers, helping them build the data products that empower our product, commercial, financial, and compliance teams to make informed, data-driven decisions.
What you'll be doing
- Build and nurture a high-performing team by hiring, coaching, and developing talent while setting clear expectations to ensure everyone thrives.
- Manage a high-impact project roadmap that balances immediate business needs with long-term foundational goals for our self-service data platform.
- Collaborate across the organization to understand complex requirements and guide the selection of technologies, such as Databricks and Looker, to maintain a trusted and governed data environment.
What you'll bring
We are looking for a leader who is passionate about people and data. You should have a strong background in data intelligence and a proven ability to deliver results through others. Your toolkit should include:
- At least 5 years of experience in a data or business intelligence function, including a track record of leadership and team development.
- Deep expertise in data engineering, data analysis, and data warehousing.
- Strong stakeholder management and strategic planning skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
- Proficiency in using modern data tools like Databricks and Looker.
- Fluency in English and a collaborative, commercial mindset that helps you navigate ambiguity with a positive attitude.
