LumiQ is looking for a Business Development Representative

Welcome to LumiQ. We are an audio-first professional education platform that is changing how CPAs complete their continuing professional development. Instead of forcing professionals to sit through dull webinars, we provide engaging podcasts featuring insights from business leaders at companies like Shopify, Slack, and TD Bank. We have already seen significant traction in the US market following our Series A funding, and we are looking for a driven individual to help us continue this momentum. We believe in building a sustainable, profitable company where our team members can thrive, and we would love for you to join us on this mission.

What you'll be doing

  • You will research, prospect, and engage potential clients to secure meetings for our Account Executives.
  • You will manage outreach sequences, which include cold calling, emailing, and other forms of professional communication.
  • You will participate in our dedicated sales program to master the art of pipeline development and SaaS sales, with a clear path toward transitioning into a full-cycle Account Executive role.

What you'll bring

  • You possess a competitive spirit and a strong drive to succeed, with a history of showing interest in sales through past work or personal initiatives.
  • You have excellent communication skills, including impeccable attention to detail in your written correspondence.
  • You demonstrate mental fortitude, meaning you handle rejection with resilience and remain motivated to reach your goals.
  • You are naturally curious, capable of multitasking, and quick to learn new software or skills.
  • You are fluent in English and comfortable working in a hybrid environment based in Canada, with the ability to commute to our Toronto office 1-2 times per week.
