At Redwood Credit Union, our mission is to passionately serve the best interests of our members and communities. Since 1950, we have supported the financial well-being of our members through better rates, low fees, and top-tier service. As the 29th largest credit union in the United States and a recognized leader in workplace culture, we are committed to a people-first approach. We are currently looking for a dedicated professional to join our team and help us continue our tradition of excellence in the Marin County area.
What is this role?
We are seeking a Senior Business Development Officer to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity. This is a key position for someone who already lives in Marin County and possesses established local networks and professional relationships. You will act as a primary driver for our growth, focusing on expanding our business presence and nurturing existing partnerships within the region.
What will you do?
- Identify and attend sales events, community gatherings, and networking opportunities to increase visibility for the organization and attract new business.
- Manage and grow relationships with Select Employer Groups, local Chambers of Commerce, and other community partners to promote our products and services.
- Collaborate with branch managers and internal departments to execute strategic marketing programs, coordinate sales presentations, and ensure all business development activities are tracked accurately in our CRM system.
What makes you a great fit?
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in the financial services industry, ideally supported by a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. We are looking for someone with at least five years of outside sales experience who can work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. You should be comfortable presenting to both small and large groups and have a knack for building professional relationships with a diverse range of people. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software is essential. If you are bilingual in Spanish, that is considered a significant plus.
What's in it for you?
We offer a competitive annual base salary range of $86,000 to $101,000, which is commensurate with your experience. In addition to this base, the position is eligible for a 15% geographical differential. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401(k) program with employer match.
- Generous paid time off, including 11 paid holidays and your birthday off.
- Access to exclusive employee discounts on auto, recreational, and home loans.
- Specialized interest-free loan programs to support your professional and personal needs, including home financing and naturalization assistance.
