We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join our team and help us expand our presence within the construction and land development sectors. Based in the DC Metro area, you will be our primary advocate on the ground, fostering high-value relationships and securing new projects through strategic networking and proactive client engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Expand our operational footprint across Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia.
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers to secure negotiated contracts and new project opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong professional connections with General Contractors and Land Development firms.
  • Represent the company at industry events and provide detailed feedback to the leadership team.
  • Host lunch and learns to educate potential clients on our services.
  • Collaborate with our marketing department to produce effective sales collateral.
  • Manage the transition of requests for proposals to our estimating team and follow up on all bids to gather feedback.
  • Research emerging market trends and potential new business sectors for us to pursue.
  • Maintain our internal database by adding new industry contacts for future outreach.

Must-haves

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in construction services, equipment sales, or infrastructure business development.
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry, including procurement cycles and project lifecycles.
  • Proven ability to identify, target, and build long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • A strategic mindset focused on sustainable growth and partnership development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Established professional network and existing relationships with General Contractors or local government buyers within the DC Metro area.
