We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where every team member is empowered to own their development and contribute to our collective success.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. In this senior-level role, you will be instrumental in driving growth for our personal and secured auto loan products by strengthening our broker partnerships across Queensland. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, building deep strategic relationships and representing our brand at industry events and workshops. While you will work remotely, this position requires travel within the region, typically three days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate and manage new and existing broker relationships through regular in-person meetings, video calls, and phone contact to achieve regional business targets.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers and the Head of Broker to identify growth opportunities and address challenges within your territory.
- Represent Wisr across multiple channels, including presenting our products and services at industry events, workshops, and individual meetings.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should be a proactive, target-driven professional with a strong background in consumer lending. We value candidates who are excellent communicators and enjoy building professional networks. You will need the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven experience in consumer lending, ideally in a Business Development Manager role or as an experienced broker.
- Comprehensive knowledge of lending and credit processes.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities autonomously.
- A valid Australian driver's license and access to your own vehicle for required travel.
- The ability to work effectively and maintain high performance while working remotely.
Location
This role is based remotely in Brisbane or the Gold Coast, Queensland, with travel required throughout the region.
Compensation and Benefits
We believe in supporting our team members both professionally and personally. Our benefits package includes:
- Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
- A $500 annual wellness reimbursement.
- An extra day of annual leave, known as A Day on Wisr.
- Unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning for professional development.
- Access to ClassPass for fitness and wellness activities.
- Generous paid parental leave.
- Access to the Uprise employee assistance program, including up to six coaching sessions per year.
- Regular team social events and offsites.
