The role

We are looking for a Business Configuration Analyst to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This is a mid-level position that serves as a vital bridge between complex insurance documentation and our technical platform. Please note that the individual hired for this role will initially be employed by TechMatrix, our employer of record, as we work toward our goal of transitioning team members to Porch Group employment.

Core responsibilities

• Translate intricate insurance manuals, underwriting guidelines, and policy materials into actionable requirements and configurations for the BriteCore platform.
• Proactively analyze insurance documentation to identify potential risks, contradictions, or missing information that could impact system performance.
• Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and debugging, utilizing light programming skills in Python to ensure our insurance products are configured accurately.

Skills and experience

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, MIS, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in policy configuration, ideally within the P&C insurance sector.
• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages, along with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent technical communication skills and the ability to interpret complex operational information.
• Availability to work during Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours and access to a stable home office environment with reliable high-speed internet.
• Prior experience with BriteCore is considered a plus but is not strictly required.
