Role at a glance
We are seeking a Senior Business and Reporting Analyst to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position available to candidates located anywhere, though our operations are anchored in South Africa. You will report directly to our Data Modelling and Reporting Team Lead, taking ownership of data models and reporting datamarts while bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution.
Your impact
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Finance, and Marketing teams to investigate our data platform and solve real-world business challenges.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications for our data engineers and BI developers.
- Perform rigorous quality assurance on data sets and pipelines to identify anomalies and drive effective data cleansing strategies.
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of experience in data or systems analysis, ideally within a formal data warehouse environment.
- A university degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Informatics, or equivalent industry experience.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel, with a strong understanding of relational database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Redshift.
- A solid grasp of Data Governance, Agile methodologies, and quality assurance standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present recommendations to stakeholders at every level of the organization.
- Critical thinking skills that allow you to thrive and deliver results under pressure.
