Business Analyst Product Manager at Jet Support Services

For over 35 years, Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI) has served as the premier independent provider of maintenance support, advisory services, and financial tools for the business aviation sector. We currently support more than 6,000 aircraft through our maintenance programs and software platforms, utilizing our extensive data and industry expertise to deliver customized solutions that prioritize our clients' unique needs. We are currently seeking a dedicated Business Analyst to join our Product Management team. In this full-time, on-site role, you will act as a vital link between our business objectives and our software development efforts, ensuring that our products continue to provide industry-leading value.

Key outcomes

• Drive our product vision by researching, ideating, and testing high-quality user experiences tailored to the business aviation market.
• Proactively identify usability challenges and champion creative, well-considered solutions that align with our long-term goals.
• Translate complex concepts into actionable deliverables, including user stories, wireframes, and user journeys, while optimizing for various interfaces and devices.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define project requirements, metrics, and vision, ensuring technical and design feasibility.
• Partner with developers and project managers to navigate technical implementation, solve complex obstacles, and refine our internal processes.
• Apply a user-centered design approach to facilitate rapid testing and iteration of new features and core functions.
• Produce essential documentation, such as user guides and release notes, to support our product ecosystem.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or Engineering.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in software development, project management, or business analysis.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience within the aviation industry, specifically involving maintenance tracking, inventory management, or aviation data.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Proven experience working with complex datasets, including data mapping, quality management, and governance.
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and O365.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to both internal teams and clients.
• Experience documenting project requirements through detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.

Preferred qualifications

• Professional certifications such as the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or the Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA).
• Hands-on experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and advanced data integration.
• Specific background in business aviation software, including MRO, component inventory, or maintenance tracking systems.

Compensation

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $95,000. Your final offer will be determined based on your unique experience, skills, and education.
