Lincoln Property Company is one of the largest private real estate firms in the United States, managing a diverse portfolio of over 510 million square feet of commercial space. We are currently seeking a Building Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this on-site role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our building systems and ensuring efficient operations while providing excellent service to our tenants. This position follows a set schedule of Monday through Friday, from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.
Responsibilities
- Support our engineering team in the daily maintenance, repair, and operation of critical building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and energy management.
- Execute work assignments by planning tasks, gathering necessary materials, and performing high-quality repairs on complex mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment by inspecting building areas, monitoring third-party contractors, and responding to after-hours emergencies such as power outages or weather-related incidents.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant field experience or equivalent technical training.
- Formal training or certification in HVAC or Operating Engineer technologies, with a preference for those holding or capable of obtaining CFC certification.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic computer proficiency to effectively operate Building Automation Systems and DDC controls.
- A solid understanding of OSHA, NEC, and NFC codes and regulations.
- The ability to work independently and maintain a professional, positive attitude when interacting with tenants and team members.
