The role
We are seeking a Senior Build Release Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This position is open to candidates based in the United States. In this role, you will take ownership of how we design, build, and distribute our software. You will serve as a champion for automation and security standards, ensuring our delivery processes are as reliable and efficient as the products we provide to our users.
Core responsibilities
- Master our entire delivery architecture, including the build and deployment patterns for our web applications, backends, libraries, and various client software.
- Continuously refine and improve our delivery pipelines, automation strategies, and overall software development lifecycle practices.
- Engage in regular code reviews to share technical knowledge across the team and contribute directly to bug fixes reported by our open-source community.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong background in cloud environments and a passion for building efficient systems. We value candidates who possess the following:
- Deep experience with Kubernetes and GitOps principles.
- Extensive proficiency in Git for source control.
- Strong command of continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows.
- Solid scripting abilities in BASH or PowerShell.
- A process-driven mindset with a focus on automation.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, authentic approach to problem-solving.
- Bonus points for experience with JavaScript, GitHub Actions, or previous work in open-source and startup environments.
Compensation and benefits
For this position, the starting base compensation range is $100,000 - $140,000 USD. Final salary offers are determined based on your specific experience, skill set, and market data.
