By joining our team, you will contribute to a mission-driven environment where cutting-edge technology meets real-world application.
The role
We are looking for a Senior Build Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. In this role, you will be the backbone of our software development efforts by managing the base repositories that support all of our robotics and machine learning teams. You will ensure our codebase remains stable, fast, and easy to maintain, which is essential for our researchers and engineers to iterate quickly.
Core responsibilities
- Maintain our company-wide build system as a key member of the Software Engineering team.
- Design and manage our version control workflows while providing direct support to developers encountering build system challenges.
- Develop and oversee robust CI/CD pipelines to ensure the reliable production of high-quality build artifacts.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of software development experience and a degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical knowledge. We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Proficiency in C++ and Python, specifically for reading code and managing complex dependencies.
- Deep experience with Linux development tools, including Git, make, cmake, and Docker.
- A proven track record of maintaining codebases in centralized source control and working extensively with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication and documentation skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Experience with ROS, ROS2, and colcon is strongly preferred.
- Bonus points if you have worked with Kubernetes, Bazel, GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, or artifact registries.
Compensation and benefits
We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants. We prohibit discrimination and harassment of any kind, ensuring a workplace that values diversity across all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
How to apply
If you are passionate about building the infrastructure that powers the future of intelligent machines, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application, including your resume and a summary of your relevant experience, to be considered for this position.
