We need a passionate, driven and experienced Brand Communications Manager to take the brand forward in Europe – defining the direction of the brand in Europe, develop world-class, high impact campaigns and implement a creative and differentiating calendar of marketing activity. The Brand Communications Manager will lead the annual marketing communications plan, including asset creation and campaign delivery (in collaboration with agency partners, Marketing Director and Lucid USA) to successfully achieve annual sales, prospect and brand objectives.
In addition, the Brand Communications Manager will build strong working relationships across the teams (including Marketing, PR, Sales, Customer Service, Retail, Legal) as well as our USA HQ. Externally they will lead, coach and inspire their agencies and creative teams to collectively align brand strategy with Lucid’s broader business objectives, ensuring each campaign and activity supports the company’s mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Key owner of the annual marketing and communications plan, owning creation and delivery (creation in collaboration with agency partners & Marketing Director)
- Research, develop and implement internal and external marketing communications strategies to build awareness and increase brand visibility
- Build on the Global Brand Guidelines to create EU-specific brand guidelines including communication, training, enforcement and ongoing monitoring
- Together with your Content Lead, develop and manage a Content strategy, including local content production and localization of global content, to be deployed across all communications channels (owned, earned and paid)
- Foster strong relationships with internal teams (sales, marketing, retail and USA HQ counterparts) to create campaigns that meet the commercial needs of the business whilst also achieving primary marketing objectives: build the brand, increase consideration and generate sales leads
- Owning day-to-day relationship with Lucid creative agencies and freelancers with a focus on the production of high impact communications, delivered on time and within budget
- Lead the relationship with the Global Marketing Communications team; ensuring the needs of the European region are met and creative assets are trans-created and translated effectively for the European markets
- Oversee the management and execution of the EU brand, content and paid media budget across 4+ European markets to deliver against marketing objectives across campaigns and brand communications
- Track, analyse and report all brand health and campaign activity, including weekly marketing dashboard and quarterly communications review, brand funnel tracking –continually identifying strategies to improve and grow the brand
- Supporting your Social Media Lead on the development of an EU-specific social media strategy including the launch of social profiles in key markets and relevant, localized content strategy
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Lucid’s products and services, working with key stakeholders across the business to understand and amplify the unique selling points of Lucid products and the inherent value to our customers
- Concisely and consistently socialise the EU marcomms plan and new strategies/ideas throughout the calendar year with EU market teams, US colleagues and the senior management team, gaining the support and trust of the wider teams and incorporating their perspectives
- Lead, coach and inspire the EU Brand Communications team (2+ direct reports) – leads and specialists for effective delivery against brand and commercial objectives
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of professional experience in brand communications, either client or agency side, with a strong focus on brand building campaigns and content production (automotive experience is a positive but not essential)
- Strong experience of brand management, including customer insight, brand tracking and brand strategy
- Strong experience of campaign planning and management, from planning through to execution and reporting, as well as content strategy and production
- Experience of social media management, preferably with establishing social media profiles in multiple markets
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and multiple stakeholders across various markets simultaneously
- Experience in agency management, contract negotiations, budget management and reconciliation against agreed scope of work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluency in English is essential, knowledge of other European languages is a positive)
