The opportunity
We are seeking a Branch Manager to lead our operations and drive our business forward. In this senior role, you will be the primary advocate for our branch, responsible for identifying new market opportunities and nurturing relationships with our clients. You will serve as a mentor and guide for our staff, ensuring that every project meets our high standards for technical quality, budget adherence, and regulatory compliance. This position is a perfect fit for a seasoned professional who excels at balancing high-level strategic planning with the day-to-day needs of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team.
A day in the life
- You will oversee the financial health of the branch by managing project budgets, monitoring utilization goals, and ensuring overall profitability.
- You will act as a key point of contact for clients, leading business development efforts, negotiating contracts, and providing expert technical counsel on complex project requirements.
- You will foster a culture of growth by training and motivating your staff, conducting performance evaluations, and planning development programs to help team members reach their full potential.
Who you are
You are a seasoned leader with a strong background in the consulting side of geotechnical engineering or environmental services. You possess the following qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience in applied engineering or physical sciences, with at least five of those years spent in project management and supervisory roles.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences is preferred, though an advanced degree is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams, including deep experience with scheduling, cost control, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and an active presence in professional or civic organizations.
- A natural talent for planning, organizing, and delegating tasks to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
- Fluency in English.
