Blockchain Engineer at Storyprotocol

We are looking for a Senior Blockchain Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. At Story Protocol, we are building the programmable intellectual property layer for the age of AI. Our mission is to transform IP into networks that transcend platforms, unlocking global liquidity and creativity. Backed by a 54 million dollar Series A led by a16z, our team is composed of serial entrepreneurs with deep expertise in media, technology, and business. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the entire blockchain stack, from L1 and L2 infrastructure to security and operations, to help us shape the future of the internet.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the research, design, implementation, and monitoring of our core blockchain infrastructure.
• Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations to our partners while managing both internal and external technical communications.
• Develop and refine best practices to ensure our infrastructure remains secure, modular, and highly performant.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Three to five years of experience in low-level system development and managing scalable infrastructure.
• At least two years of dedicated blockchain development experience, specifically with peer-to-peer networking, consensus algorithms, and storage subsystems.
• Proficiency in Golang or Rust is highly desirable.
• Deep knowledge of the blockchain ecosystem, including Layer 1 and Layer 2 technologies, DeFi, and NFTs.
• The ability to work on-site at our San Mateo office for a minimum of three days per week.
