Blockchain Data Wizard at Allium

What is this role?

We are looking for a Senior Blockchain Data Wizard to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an on-site role based in the United States. As a Data Wizard, you will act as a data architect, transforming raw, fragmented on-chain information into elegant and meaningful abstractions that power some of the industry's most significant applications.

What will you do?

• Create Meaningful Data Abstractions: You will take chaotic on-chain data and turn it into intuitive, reliable models that provide granular insights across various protocols and verticals.
• Reverse Engineer DeFi Protocols: You will dive deep into the mechanics of new decentralized finance protocols, dissecting smart contract interactions to extract and transform data into production-ready models using SQL and dbt.
• Index New Blockchains: You will explore raw data structures of new chains, ensuring accurate data capture and designing schemas that serve as the trusted source of truth for the ecosystem.

What makes you a great fit?

You are a curious problem solver who thrives in ambiguous environments where documentation might be sparse. You possess a product-minded approach to data design, meaning you think about performance, documentation, and how end users will interact with your work. You are a master of SQL and dbt, capable of writing performant transformations that handle large-scale data pipelines. Proficiency in English is required, and you should be comfortable with data modeling, data engineering, and protocol research.
