Bitcoin Software Engineer at Custodia Bank

The role

We are looking for a Senior Bitcoin Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position available to candidates located anywhere. We need a versatile engineer who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment and ready to contribute to our mission starting on their first day.

Core responsibilities

• Design, extend, and maintain our core Bitcoin block processor.
• Manage the end-to-end workflows for deposits and withdrawals within our custody product.
• Configure and test Bitcoin nodes while securely integrating our backend systems with the blockchain.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in the following areas:

• A deep passion for the Bitcoin ecosystem and its surrounding software.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• A commitment to writing high-quality code through unit and end-to-end testing.
• Prior experience working in a remote environment.
• Bonus qualifications: Proficiency in Python and the Django REST framework, experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization, and a track record of open-source contributions to Bitcoin projects.

Compensation and benefits
