What is this role?
We are seeking a Bioinformatics Scientist to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This is a mid-level position where you will play a critical role in advancing our Function drug and target discovery platform. You will be an early member of our computational biology team, helping us design and scale screening assays for rare diseases while contributing to the development of our next-generation automated laboratory.
What will you do?
- Develop and maintain sophisticated bioinformatics pipelines to process Next Generation Sequencing data.
- Design novel algorithms and analytical approaches to identify the most promising therapeutic candidates.
- Collaborate across our multidisciplinary team, including AI experts, data engineers, and biologists, to interpret high-dimensional data and drive our research strategy forward.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong foundation in computational biology and a passion for innovation. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of hands-on experience applying statistical and bioinformatics methods in professional or academic settings.
- Deep technical proficiency in Python and a proven track record of building and implementing original data analysis pipelines.
- Expertise in handling complex biological datasets, including Whole Genome Sequencing, RNAseq, Metabolomics, ATACseq, and other high-throughput sequencing technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex scientific results to diverse audiences.
- A collaborative spirit and the drive to solve challenging problems in the rare disease space.
