As a Big Data Architect, you will serve as a primary technical leader reporting directly to our CTO. You will be responsible for designing and managing sophisticated data solutions that drive our platform forward. Key outcomes
- Design and execute a comprehensive data architecture strategy that supports our long-term business and technical objectives.
- Develop robust data models and establish best practices for data management to ensure platform scalability.
- Partner with our engineering department to build and optimize data pipelines and big data frameworks.
- Architect and maintain large-scale systems capable of processing and storing the vast amounts of data generated by our customers.
- Lead the evaluation and adoption of modern cloud and on-premise data technologies.
- Ensure all data solutions are cost-effective, resilient, and compliant with industry security standards.
- Implement and enforce strict data governance policies to maintain high standards of data quality and accessibility.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges to streamline our data processing capabilities.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in data engineering or big data architecture, ideally within a SaaS environment.
- Deep technical expertise in big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
- Proven proficiency with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Strong command of SQL, NoSQL databases, and modern data warehousing solutions.
- Extensive experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and pipeline architecture.
- Solid understanding of data security, compliance, and governance frameworks like GDPR or CCPA.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- A strategic mindset combined with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
