As a Big Data Architect, you will serve as a primary technical leader reporting directly to our CTO. You will be responsible for designing and managing sophisticated data solutions that drive our platform forward. Key outcomes

• Design and execute a comprehensive data architecture strategy that supports our long-term business and technical objectives.
• Develop robust data models and establish best practices for data management to ensure platform scalability.
• Partner with our engineering department to build and optimize data pipelines and big data frameworks.
• Architect and maintain large-scale systems capable of processing and storing the vast amounts of data generated by our customers.
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of modern cloud and on-premise data technologies.
• Ensure all data solutions are cost-effective, resilient, and compliant with industry security standards.
• Implement and enforce strict data governance policies to maintain high standards of data quality and accessibility.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges to streamline our data processing capabilities.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in data engineering or big data architecture, ideally within a SaaS environment.
• Deep technical expertise in big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
• Proven proficiency with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Strong command of SQL, NoSQL databases, and modern data warehousing solutions.
• Extensive experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and pipeline architecture.
• Solid understanding of data security, compliance, and governance frameworks like GDPR or CCPA.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• A strategic mindset combined with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
