At National Information Solutions Cooperative, we take pride in being an industry leader that provides advanced IT solutions for utility and telecommunications cooperatives across the country. We have been recognized as one of ComputerWorld’s Best Places to Work for twenty years in a row, and we are currently looking for a dedicated professional to join our team. We focus on delivering high-quality software for billing, accounting, and engineering, and we invite you to help us continue that tradition of excellence.
What is this role?
We are hiring a Senior BI & Reporting Technical Coach for a full-time, on-site position based in the United States. In this role, you will act as a bridge between our technical capabilities and our customers' needs. You will spend your time supporting our members with their business intelligence requirements while also developing and maintaining sophisticated reports and visualizations. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys both deep technical work and direct customer interaction.
What will you do?
- Consult directly with our members to design, optimize, and improve their reporting systems and database objects, including SQL statements, views, and stored procedures.
- Lead the troubleshooting and correction process for complex reports and database issues while accurately estimating the time and effort required for custom requests.
- Provide exceptional customer service through various channels, including phone, email, and face-to-face interactions, to ensure our users get the most out of our tools.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed here, you should have a strong background in business intelligence and data visualization. We are looking for someone who brings the following skills to the table:
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with industry-standard tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
- Familiarity with Oracle databases and contemporary cloud architectures like AWS.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to communicate complex data concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats.
- A commitment to our shared values and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, or an equivalent amount of professional experience.
What's in it for you?
Working with us means joining a stable, award-winning team that values its employees. While we do not have specific salary figures to share at this time, we offer a collaborative environment where you can grow your career, work on meaningful projects that support essential utility infrastructure, and be part of a company that has been a top-rated workplace for two decades.
