At Rocketship Public Schools, we are a non-profit network of public elementary charter schools dedicated to unleashing the infinite potential of every student we serve. We are looking for a Benefits Associate to join our team and provide essential support to our staff, ensuring they can fully utilize our benefit programs while helping us transform the future for underserved communities.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for employee benefits, including managing new hire enrollments, life events, and general inquiries.
- Maintain accurate benefits data, perform quality checks, and generate reports for compliance and internal reviews.
- Manage the daily operations of our employee ticketing system and provide one-on-one support during office hours.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to resolve employee issues and ensure smooth service delivery.
- Assist in the annual open enrollment process and the distribution of Total Rewards Statements.
- Draft internal communications, presentations, and announcements regarding our benefits offerings.
- Support the Benefits Manager in developing policies and researching industry trends to keep our programs competitive.
Must-haves
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- A solutions-oriented approach and the ability to quickly learn and apply company policies.
- A deep commitment to our mission and a belief in the potential of all students.
- Must reside in one of our five regions: Bay Area, CA; Nashville, TN; Fort Worth, TX; Milwaukee, WI; or Washington, DC.
Nice-to-haves
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, finance, social sciences, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in benefits administration or human resources.
- Familiarity with Workday or similar HRIS platforms.
