What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior Business Control Officer (BCO) to join our Global Bank Account Business Unit in Mexico. In this role, you will help our teams balance business objectives with robust risk management, ensuring that we remain agile while maintaining a secure and compliant environment. You will be a key player in our evolving BCO structure, helping us develop best-in-class risk practices that allow our business units to operate independently and proactively.
What will you do?
- Coordinate and support the Global Bank Account teams in managing first-line risk activities, including incident management, operational losses, business continuity, and regulatory compliance.
- Proactively identify potential risk areas and lead remediation efforts while building efficient, non-bureaucratic governance frameworks.
- Apply a sharp risk lens to our product development and strategy, conducting process mapping and thorough documentation to ensure operational resilience.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should be a quick learner who is comfortable challenging the status quo and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization. We value independence, proactivity, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. You should possess the following qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Product and Non-Financial risk, including operational risk management.
- Deep understanding of Mexican regulatory requirements and risk standards.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- A proven ability to build strong professional relationships and effectively challenge various lines of defense.
What's in it for you?
We believe in supporting our employees both professionally and personally. As part of our team, you will enjoy the following benefits:
- Equity compensation to share in our collective success.
- Comprehensive life and health insurance coverage.
- Generous paid time off, including 17 days of vacation and a 30-day holiday bonus.
- Access to our mental wellness budget through the NuCare program.
- A dedicated learning budget to support your professional growth and language development.
- A flexible hybrid work environment that balances collaboration with personal time.
