We are looking for a Senior Backup Administrator to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in India. We are looking for a dedicated professional to help us maintain our high standards for storage and backup infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily monitoring and management of all backup activities, which includes executing restore jobs, troubleshooting failures, and taking necessary corrective actions.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and provide expert diagnosis for any issues escalated regarding our storage and backup platforms.
- Participate in the installation, configuration, and testing of servers, storage, and backup infrastructure for new projects, system upgrades, or lifecycle replacements.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a comprehensive understanding of Azure, AWS, Veeam, and LTO storage systems. You must be skilled in managing Dell and HPE storage systems, with demonstrated capabilities in setup, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Additional qualifications include:
- A strong grasp of Windows and Linux operating architectures.
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as iSCSI, SMB, NFS, and CIFS.
- Familiarity with Disaster Recovery policies, ESXi virtualization, and data encryption at rest.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like bash or perl.
- The ability to provide 24/7 IT operations support on a rotation and on-call basis.
- A willingness to learn, share knowledge, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
