The opportunity

We are looking for a Backend Team Lead to guide our talented developers and drive the success of our high-quality financial products. In this full-time, remote role, you will be the bridge between our technical vision and our daily operations. You will foster an environment where innovation thrives, ensuring that our backend systems remain robust and scalable while supporting the professional growth of the individuals on your team.

A day in the life

• You will manage and mentor a team of six backend developers, conducting regular one-on-one meetings to provide constructive feedback, evaluate performance, and build personalized professional growth plans.
• You will take charge of technical excellence by organizing on-call rotations, addressing technical debt, and introducing new standards or technologies to improve the quality of our output.
• You will act as a key coordinator across the organization, collaborating with various stakeholders to resolve cross-team issues, streamline workflows, and identify bottlenecks to enhance overall efficiency.

Who you are

You are an experienced leader who understands the balance between technical precision and human management. You communicate clearly, inspire your peers, and have a proven track record of managing distributed teams.

• You bring over 6 years of experience in backend development, with at least 2 years specifically in a team leadership role.
• You have deep technical proficiency with Java, Kotlin, Spring, and Gradle.
• You are skilled in resource planning, risk management, and the implementation of Agile Scrum principles.
• It is a bonus if you have experience with Go and a history of using performance metrics to drive team success.
• You are fluent in English and comfortable working in a fully remote environment.
