The role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Specialist Engineer to join our Product Technology team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role that requires you to be available to work from our headquarters in São Paulo one week per month. You will act as a high-level technical leader, bridging the gap between strategic vision and daily execution to help us scale our business and deliver exceptional experiences to our customers.

Core responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical leadership across your tribe, ensuring that all architectural decisions align with our broader company goals.
• Serve as a primary technical reference for developers by participating in code reviews, pairing on complex solutions, and supporting squads in their day-to-day operations.
• Proactively identify technical bottlenecks and potential risks to diagnose and resolve issues before they escalate into major incidents.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in modern infrastructure and software development. We require proficiency in the following areas:

• Expertise in Golang and Kubernetes APIs, including operators.
• Practical experience with AWS, ideally supported by relevant certifications.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, and Kapp.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Backstage, Datadog, and OpenTelemetry.
• A strong commitment to code quality, technical documentation, and collaborative practices like pair programming.
• Fluency in English to communicate effectively within our international team.
