About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Software Intern to join our team for a summer internship. In this role, you will contribute directly to the Voyager web platform by shipping new features and improvements. You will be paired with a mentor who will guide your professional growth, and you will have ample opportunities to network with colleagues across our organization to understand the inner workings of a fast-paced, hypergrowth hardtech startup.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality Python code utilizing Django, DRF, and Celery.
• Collaborate closely with your assigned mentor within our backend software department.
• Work on-site at our office in San Francisco, California.

Requirements

We are looking for students who are currently pursuing a degree in computer science or engineering. You should have a solid foundation in Python and a genuine passion for building tools that empower engineering teams. We value individuals who are motivated by a fast-paced environment, enjoy shipping code, and thrive on receiving feedback. While not required, we would love to see experience with Django, previous work in a startup setting, or a strong portfolio, GitHub profile, or blog that showcases your work.

This position is based in our San Francisco, California office.
