Backend Software Engineer at PhysicsX

PhysicsX is a deep-tech organization composed of scientists and engineers dedicated to developing machine learning applications that accelerate physics simulations. Our work enables a new frontier of optimization in design and engineering. Born from numerical physics and proven in the high-stakes environment of Formula One, we help our partners transform their engineering processes and improve product performance. Our reach spans critical industries, including aerospace, medical devices, renewable energy, and electric vehicles. We are currently scaling our technology platform and are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to help us take that next leap. What you'll be doing

• You will build and maintain the platform that allows our Data Scientists and Simulation Engineers to create, train, and deploy complex physics-informed models.
• You will work within a focused, cross-functional team that includes front-end and design specialists, where you will have the autonomy to make key implementation decisions.
• You will collaborate directly with our internal users to gather domain knowledge, ensuring the tools you build effectively solve their most challenging engineering problems.

What you'll bring

We are looking for someone who is deeply committed to the craft of software engineering and thrives in a collaborative environment. You should have the following qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in both Python and Go.
• A proactive mindset regarding the full software lifecycle, from initial implementation to production, including testing, containerization, CI/CD, and monitoring.
• Experience with event-driven systems and messaging tools such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Practical experience developing applications for Kubernetes.
• Fluency in English, which is the primary language used across our teams.
