What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join us on a full-time basis. This is an on-site position based in our Limassol office. You will be responsible for implementing complex business logic within our web stack, working closely with product managers to deliver optimal solutions for our customers. We are looking for an experienced professional who can help us extend, optimize, and support our existing software to ensure we continue to capture significant market value.

What will you do?

• Design and develop high-load, highly available web services to support critical customer journeys, including billing and identity management.
• Build robust trading terminals, APIs, and essential back-office interfaces that power our core banking and payment solutions.
• Create internal frameworks, auxiliary libraries, and specialized tools to support the efficiency and integration of our various system components.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in computer science and a passion for financial technology. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 6 years of commercial software development experience with a deep understanding of the Python ecosystem.
• Proven experience with asyncio, aiohttp, and fastAPI or similar frameworks like Sanic or Tornado.
• Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL, including database architecture and ORM usage.
• A commitment to a DevOps culture, with practical experience in containerization, networking, and virtualization.
• A disciplined approach to testing, including unit, integration, and load testing.
• Professional proficiency in English for all business communication.
• A degree in a STEM field is preferred.
