The role

We are seeking a Junior Backend Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in India. This is an exceptional opportunity to join us as an early team member, where you will help architect our foundational systems and define our development practices. Because we are in a greenfield environment, you will have significant ownership over product delivery, tools, and processes. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and is eager to see their work directly improve security for Fortune 500 clients and public sector organizations.

Core responsibilities

• Design and build robust infrastructure and services to support end-to-end user experiences, primarily targeting AWS.
• Manage complex data pipelines involving the transport, cleaning, and analysis of petabyte-scale datasets to drive real-time security insights and user behavior analysis.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to implement a world-class development lifecycle, including architecture design, API definitions, and DevSecOps delivery.

Skills and experience

• Between 1 and 3+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in languages such as Golang or Java, with a solid grasp of community standards and technical tradeoffs.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design principles and industry best practices for the full software development lifecycle.
• Direct experience with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS, along with familiarity in containers, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• A deep understanding of high-scale distributed systems, data persistence, and performance monitoring.
• The ability to navigate ambiguity and a strong bias for action in a high-growth startup environment.
