The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our growing global engineering team. In this full-time, hybrid role, you will play a critical part in designing and building scalable SaaS solutions that power our core products. You will serve as a technical leader, helping us maintain high engineering standards while crafting elegant systems that handle massive scale. This is a unique chance to influence our technical direction and work on a platform that serves billions of requests.

A day in the life

• Collaborate with product managers and designers to architect and build robust, scalable solutions across our entire platform.
• Develop new APIs using the Elixir Phoenix framework and optimize data performance through complex PostgreSQL and Cassandra queries.
• Enhance system responsiveness by working with in-memory data stores like Redis and debugging issues across the full stack.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer with a start-up mindset who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments. You possess a strong technical foundation and are comfortable navigating ambiguity to deliver results.

• You hold a Master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• You have at least 3 years of experience building high-performance RESTful web services that serve billions of requests.
• You are proficient in SQL infrastructure, data modeling, and GraphQL.
• You have advanced production experience with Elixir and Python.
• You are fluent in English.
• It is a big plus if you have expertise in video streaming technologies like FFmpeg, GStreamer, or WebRTC.
