Backend Software Engineer at SonicWall

We are currently looking for an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis.

• Design, develop, and maintain the backend services that power our industry-leading cybersecurity platform.
• Build high-quality, scalable backend services utilizing microservice-based architectures.
• Collaborate effectively within a fast-paced, agile team environment.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including frontend, security, and DevOps departments, to deliver cutting-edge features to our global customer base.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in high-performance, microservice-based backend development, with a strong preference for Golang expertise.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, combined with 12 or more years of total software development experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle, data structures, algorithms, and core programming concepts.
• Proven ability to design and develop scalable, cloud-based, multi-tenant applications.
• Proficiency with both SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
• Deep understanding of large-scale system architecture, high availability, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with cloud service providers, specifically AWS and Azure.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, cloud databases, and cloud storage solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Prior experience in the development of multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
• Expertise or deep knowledge of the cybersecurity domain.
• Experience or contributions to Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) projects.
