Key outcomes

• Develop and maintain the core API that powers our server provisioning, network management, billing, and internal systems.
• Collaborate closely with our platform architect and lead backend engineer to design and implement robust solutions.
• Enhance the developer experience by managing REST APIs, webhooks, and SDK compatibility.
• Take full ownership of the reliability and performance of the services you build.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in backend software engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Python, or Go, with a preference for those comfortable working across multiple languages.
• Proven track record of designing and building REST APIs at scale.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, background job processing, and the fundamentals of distributed systems.
• A deep appreciation for API design as a craft, recognizing that our primary customers are fellow developers.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Compensation

This is a contractor position offering a competitive package, including:
